We’re always told how smart dolphins are but it turns out they happen to be specialists at maths, able to add, subtract, multiply and even understand ratios! Check out a few fun facts below before watching our video to find out more:
– Dolphins use sonar, sending high and low frequency sound waves from their foreheads to detect their dinner.
– To trap schools of fish dolphins use a sneaky tactic of creating a “cage” of bubbles to trap them..
– But does this mess with their sonar? No – dolphins have actually developed a way around this that is so advanced that we’re trying to find ways to use the same tactics in our own sonar instruments!
Watch our video to find out how dolphins use maths to catch their dinner and what exactly we’re trying to copy off of them!
